Resturant Review

Christine and I have found THE place to eat. It is the Blue Goose Cantina in Highland Village. There are several around in the area, North Dallas, Addison, Lower Greenville and Highland Village. This place is great, atmosphere, food, wait staff, this whole nine yards.
Christine and I went last Saturday to eat there for the first time before we caught a movie right across the street at the Highland Village AMC Theater.
Since the weather has been so great here we decided to eat out on the patio. "Woodie" our waitress was awesome and suggested a couple of dishes for us, not to mention the best Margarita ever...seriously, the best ever!!!
I had the brisket tacos and Chris has the Fajitas De Pollo. Everything was fantastic. The brisket tacos are just that, brisket, slow cooked and with this great smoke flavor and cilantro and a bit of onion. Nothing else on this taco, you did not need one other thing.
This past Saturday we went again, and this time Chris has the brisket tacos and I had Tacos al Fresca which was blackened Tilapia, a bean sauce and cheese wrapped in home made flour tortilla, absolutely fantastic. We also had an appetiser of a fondue dish that was a little greasy but again tasted fantastic.
Living in North Texas and growing up on the Northside of Fort Worth, I have had some great Mexican food...La Palma, Joe T's, Panchos (ha ha just kidding) Chuy's, etc...but this by far is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. It really isn't authentic (like Joe T's) but not Tex Mex either...just right, and did I mention the Margaritas...Holy Cow!!!!
We had another awesome waitress with this cool tattoo on her thigh...I know, I know, but really it was very cool and did not look trashy at all. Cool attitude, cool personality, the whole works, just great.
1 being the best on my scale...definitely, a 1, no doubt about it. Anyone who visits us from out of town will be eating at this place guaranteed. So get ready to eat some good Mexican food when you come.
I can't wait till this Saturday, I think I'm going to have brisket tacos again, and more than likely a Margarita or two.
